The tourist industry often draws upon an area's unique historical, cultural or natural interests to reveal and promote aspects of a region. However, 'Souvenir' aims to reveal the sameness of regions rather than difference by focusing on the standardisation of city centres. This project will locate 4 souvenirs in each public city art gallery shop in Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds and Hull. Each item will depict similar images of generic high street scenes in each aforementioned city.
