John Newling's contribution to Artranspennine03 involves a reproduction of Quentin Metsys' 1514 painting "The Money Changer and his Wife". Newling has created a 2m sq reproduction of the painting which he has displayed in the window of an Oxfam shop in Liverpool. Bids for the work have been invited for a silent auction, and the list of bidders is displayed in the shop. At the end of a specified time, the work will be handed over to the highest bidder. Bids can be placed directly by following the link to John Newling's site, below
